Support the Adventure Ave children to finish and install their tree huts.

Adventure Ave is one of Avon Ōtākaro Network's community projects, designed and led by local children. Since Feb. 2019 the Adventure Ave team have been working to create a temporary community space in the Avon Ōtākaro River Corridor (formerly known as the Residential Red Zone). In 2020 they started their tree hut project - collaboratively designing the huts and working with experts to learn how to build them. They have the engineer and playground compliance sign-off and are ready to finish the huts and get them up for play and adventure! But this project is far more than building huts! Throughout their work the team of children are empowered to have a voice, to dream big and work towards realising their dreams. The project invites them to take risks, collaborate, compromise and problem solve. Working as a team, they persevere in their vision to create, 'an environmental, family-friendly playground where kids' big imaginations can run wild'. The project has involved many volunteer hours including generous financial support to get to this stage. We're now looking for the final push to finish.
Money raised will help us finish the huts and get them raised and ready to play by Christmas.
