Te Rangi and Veronica Allen founded Nga Kakano Kura in 1997 to provide quality education and support to the children and whanau of Waitakere.
They have dedicated their lives to Waitakere and have changed the lives of many students and whanau.
As Nga Kakano Kura comes to an end, and Te Rangi and Veronica start a new chapter in their lives, it is right that the community they have tirelessly and sacrificially worked for gives back to them and shows their appreciation of the great work they have done.

About us
Our school provides itself on providing an environment for change, through dynamic teaching, leading-edge learning environments, advantageous day structures and an innovative integrated curriculum, reflecting and valuing the identity, language and culture of each student within a Christian and Maori worldview. Valuing the student, their whanau, hapu and iwi as co-creators in the educational pathway of their tamariki mokopuna, all of whom having the ability and capability to achieve success.
