Support Amanda's journey to Rio as a deafblind cyclist with Hannah Latta (pilot)

My name is Amanda Cameron and I’m a para-cyclist for Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ). I am Deafblind so I compete under the B/VI category meaning I race as a stoker on a tandem bike with my pilot Hannah Latta.
I love cycling as it gives me the opportunity to not only see the world with 20% vision but represent my country which is a great honour.
Following my success last year, my key events for 2015 are in Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Switzerland in May-June. These events are extremely important to me as my long term goal is to compete at the Rio Paralympics in 2016. This requires that we race overseas to gain UCI points and show my potential and dedication. All campaigns are self-funded, as I continue to develop as an athlete.
Your kind donation will contribute towards the campaigns which will cover travel expenses including accommodation, team vehicles, insurance and entry fees, and tandem costs.

Hello
We've now completed both the Adelaide C1 event and Club Nationals in Napier, so far we're off to a good start to our road season. In Adelaide, we competed with Australian, Korean and another NZ tandem. Hannah and I came away with bronze in the time trial and silver in the road race.
The following week, we gained gold in the club nationals time trial (thus, becoming Club National 2015 champs)! We are progressing well and happy with how we're going, we're home for a week before heading to Cambridge for another C1 event which we're looking forward to.
Thank you again for your support, it is really humbling to have people cheering us on and keeping us motivated, it's not long to go till we head to Europe so we're continuing to train hard and do the best we can.
We have raised an amazing amount so far, we are still needing approx $6000 for Europe so we're holding a quiz night in Wellington which you're all invited to - details are on our blog and Facebook page.
