As a community the time has come to help one of our own; Andi Jackson.
Auckland
This Givealittle campaign is all about helping a phenomenally community minded and truly awesome chick who sadly is terminally ill. Andi has been a stalwart of the Manly Volunteer Fire Brigade on the Hibiscus Coast for 14 years. A whirlwind in getting people involved, helping others and giving selflessly to her community and a huge welcoming force to new families to the Brigade. Andi has cancer and things are pretty tough for Andi and her husband Rex. I'm not sure if Andi is better known for driving school buses or the Manly Fire Engine but she is well known and well loved on the coast. We would like to raise some money to ease that financial hardship, Rex is driving for Bayes and is often away taking bus tours and not able to be with Andi. Andi herself has worked for Bayes buses for 23 years and will have driven many local families kids to and from school in that time as well as raising her own kids here on the Coast.
There are few people as committed to our community as Andi has been and we'd like to think the community might give something back to Andi to ease the burden and allow them some time together as a family. There are many deserving causes out there but this lady is pretty amazing and could do with some support.
