Support and inspiration cancer projects

My goal is to continue providing support and inspiration to people affected by breast cancer in New Zealand through the Breast Cancer Nirvana website.

My second goal is to support cancer organisations and people affected by cancer in the Pacific.

What I propose is:

1. Funding cancer projects in countries such as Kiribati to set up effective cancer screening and cancer treatment services

2. This fund provides resources for travel to Kiribati and to start implementing the project to deliver effective cancer services in Kiribati

Since 2011, Andrea Fairbairn through Breast Cancer Nirvana has provides valuable services to thousands of people affected by cancer:

• Weekly articles designed to provide inspiration, resources and support to people affected by cancer

• A website full of free resources including inspiring stories, research and information

• Connecting with people – supporting those who are going through treatment and showing others that they can live a great life after cancer

Andrea is now working on cancer international aid projects in the Pacific:

• Advice and mentoring on how to set up an effective cancer organisation

• Provision of strategic planning workshops, advice and mentoring

• Provision of training and advice on how to write an effective funding proposal that meets requirements of donors

Andrea has offered the majority of her time pro-bono but now requires funds to continue this important work. There is much need in the Pacific with a lack of screening and treatment facilities. Help Andrea to help people with cancer in the Pacific.
