Education through Exploration. Travel to developing countries to learn how I can help them.
Nationwide
My goal is to travel to Nicaragua and Costa Rica with World Challenge Expeditions to achieve personal and team goals to develop valuable teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, communication and life skills. I plan to advance my learning of Spanish and take part in community projects while researching and experiencing how families and children live in developing countries.
As part of the project, as a group, we have to take care of all our own day-to-day responsibilities, in-country trip planning, food and budgeting. Central America will also be a great place to advance my learning of Spanish as a second language.
I think the biggest part of my project starts when I return home, as I want to share my experiences with others and especially my fellow students. I would like to help them understand how others in the world live and what we could do to help them.
I'm not relying 100% on your help though. I am working hard to save my part through baby sitting, dog sitting and dog walking. The total trip price if $8,900 and I have already saved over $500. My personal goal is to earn and save at least $4,000 towards the trip before June 2015.
I figure, with the amount I have earned already, I only need 2,095 people to donate $4.00 each! Any help you could give me towards achieving my goals would be much appreciated.
