Over in St Louis with Dr Parks it is recommended to have SDR surgery then PERCS surgery. SDR release's the muscles and PERCS lengthens the legs to try and help with the leg discrepancy. Damin has been working so hard in Physio and both surgeries have gone so well.

You read it 3 weeks of intensive physio before we get to fly back home. We had lots of up and downs with frustration and pain. He still amazes me with his courage and how hard he worked. Plus bribery to keep him working hard, a trip to the zoo :)

  • Days after surgery

Damin needed to lay flat for 3 days afterwards, which was very hard. Although the room where they keep the SDR patients was incredible. En-suite, big space and huge TV, Damin was very impressed. Day 4 we were able to get up and start physio.

Damin had surgery on the 5th of July. It was a very stressful day. Damin was in surgery for 5 long hours. Then after that in recovery he got put back in because he woke up very aggressive. With him needing to be calm on bed rest for 3 days. He was admitted to intensive care and slowly woken up over 24 hrs. But the Dr Park said the surgery went as planned, which was great news.
