Deaf Blacks Team needs your support to help the team to achieve their goal to go to Argentina tournament in 24th - 30th April 2016.
Nationwide
The Deaf Blacks team will be heading to Argentina in April 2016. We have not had an International tournament since 1998 and the last trip was to Wales. Since then, there has been no opportunities due to lack of support and financial difficulty. They are just as passionate and committed to the game of rugby; and are equally proud to represent their country and wear the black jersey as are the members of the All Blacks.
We really need your help to donate us, to achieve our goal for the Deaf Blacks team to be able to go to Argentina and play against the Argentina team and to encourage our youth to learn and get their sport experiences and for any future tournaments and world cups.
The fund will go towards to purchase the flights, transports and accommodation for the whole team (23 players and 8 officials approx).
NZDRFU’s vision is to promote Deaf, hearing impaired, cochlear implant players with an ultimate goal to win through pride, passion and motivation. It gives an opportunity for Deaf rugby players to play for their country and honour the black jersey.
NZDRFU’s objectives are to promote the participation of Deaf and hearing impaired players in rugby activities; foster Deaf international or inter-zone matches; and NZDRFU acts as a central advisory, consultative and co-ordinating body related to rugby events, games and activities for Deaf and hearing impaired players.
