Surf Life Saving NZ

Surf Lifesaving NZ patrols our beaches and saves approximately 5000 lives as well as rescuing almost half a million swimmers out of difficult circumstances. They work tirelessly to protect New Zealanders from dying on our beaches.

As most of you are aware - I'm from Afghanistan and we do not grow up surrounded by the ocean or learning to swim at school. I undertook swimming lessons after being in NZ for a number of years and I am now embarking on one of my greatest challenges to date… to swim the harbour crossing on the 7th December 2014.

My aim is to raise $20,000.00 for the noble cause of Surf Life Saving New Zealand. Please give generously to honour this cause and enable them to keep us safe on our beaches.
