Thanks so much for all your support. Apologies for lack of updates on the ride, the days were so long and hard riding. What a magnificent country NZ is. We had a few mishaps on they journey including me however we all got back to home. Some very tired people returned late Sunday night. Yes we did get up to watch the ABs play so well.

We are still raising funds until December 1st we are just under $17,000 and if we can reach $20,000 a very generous donor will match to amount dollar for dollar. So we are trying hard to achieve this goal and thanks again for all your incredible help so far.

Here are some photos of the ride. There will be a complete album on our website asap.

    Thanks again

  • Came off my bike

I am very bruised but thankfully ok.

The A team kicked into action and supported Char to access medical help by way of three ambulances. Grand effort from everyone, st Johns ambulance, the nz bike riders, locals from the east coast. Was amazed that in an area were we had no cell coverage how quick we were able to get help. First car on the scene was Barb a St. Johns worker lovely soul. Then a nurse from the local clinic. Char nearly got rock star treatment by way of helicopter however ambulance to Opotiki in the end. Mike the local policeman was awesome too. The boys in blue seem to have been with us all the way. Char says she likes a man in uniform. Also Aroha the ambulance driver could you get a better name. With the theme of Family it certainly was all about Whanau with Mike the policeman being Arohas nephew.

Char has been given the all clear to continue travelling. She will be joining Thelma and Louise in the van.
