Fireworks over the River
Due to COVID-19 affected budget constraints the PNCC can't fully fund the fireworks this year. We need your help for the remainder please!

We’ve been lighting up the skies over the Manawatū River at Guy Fawkes for the past seven years. In early years, this was funded by local business, before Palmerston North City Council became our event funder.
This year, the city’s ratepayers asked Council to keep a tight budget in response to the COVID-19 economic climate. We are delighted Council is still able to cover three-quarters of the event cost – but we need help to fund the remainder please. If everyone gives a couple of dollars, we will meet our target to enable us to deliver this free family event.

Lions is a worldwide organisation that exists to serve. Our clubs are places where individuals join together to give their time and effort to improving their communities, and the world.
Use of funds
To purchase fireworks for the event. Any surplus will go towards next years fireworks.
