Hey guys, I am planning to represent New Zealand at the World Championships in Romania this year. Powerlifting is an amazing sport, with an amazing future. It's inclusive, supportive, and brings out the best in people. I have been powerlifting for less than a year and am currently the Auckland Record holder for squat, deadlift and overall total (in my division) while playing school football on the side. However, I have now decided to dedicate myself to Powerlifting to see how far I can go. But the heavy lifting seems easy compared to some of the other challenges to the sport. In NZ, powerlifting is not funded, and getting to the World Champs means finding the funds to make it happen. As you can imagine this is not easy for a high school student. I'd be deeply grateful for any kind of support ❤️.
