Tim is a 27 year old who is fighting cancer and has one last chance.
Canterbury
27 year old Tim found out in September that he has cancer. What started with a curable diagnosis soon changed to something much bigger and far more challenging. Tim has faced several rounds of aggressive chemo, too many stays in hospital to count, blood transfusions, infections and everything else that goes with this terrible disease.
Each time that we thought things were working, there was more bad news. Blow after blow has come Tim’s way, but he is still fighting. Tim is now at the point where he has one last chance to regain some hope. A treatment that is not funded and will hopefully get him to the point where he can have a stem cell transplant from his loving sister, who is a match. The cost of this treatment is very high at $30,000.00 a round, Tim needs 4 and unfortunately the drug company has turned down funding, so we need as much help as we can get.
There is no guarantee that this will work, but it is our last real chance. This disease has taken so much from Tim, his mum Marie, Sister Elizabeth and his extended family with the loss of Tim’s beloved step dad and auntie both within the past two years.
So any and all help to get Tim the treatment he needs, will be greatly appreciated by Tim and his whole family.
I am involved because Tim is my son, my best friend, my biggest supporter, my rock and his sister's adored big brother.
