Helping Hands

Just as Orewa’s locally owned businesses were getting back on their feet after COVID lockdowns, tragedy struck when fire devastated 3 Businesses - the Real Food Kitchen, The Biltong & Braai Shop and the Orewa Bakery. So many customers are known by name at each of these businesses - their connection to their customers was immense.

Due to fire and water damage, these businesses will be out of action for many months to come. With summer heading our way, this could not have happened at a worse time.

The Board of Directors and team at Destination Orewa Beach call on our exceptionally compassionate and supportive community, to give a helping hand to help get the affected business owners and their families back on their feet, and help out their living costs whilst they have no income.

One of the 3 affected businesses, the Real Food Kitchen feel the love however they are looking at alternate plans, so have gratefully excluded themselves from this campaign. Recipients of the funds would be The Biltong & Braai Shop and the Orewa Bakery.

Together, we can make the difference for members of our community who really could do with our support and love.
