Donations required to build 10 studio units that will provide transitional housing for our communities most vulnerable people.
Bay of Plenty
The Tauranga Moana Nightshelter Board of Trustees seeks to build transitional studio units for homeless men who are vulnerable and arrive to the shelter with high and complex needs. The studio units will be utilized by men who have worked tirelessly to make the necessary changes and accept the support required to end the cycle of homelessness. The men will exit the shelter environment into a self contained studio unit where they can have independence whilst still accessing support.
The studio units will free up 10 beds within the shelter environment which will allow 10 vulnerable people to access safe shelter and intensive support to end the cycle of homelessness.
This project is a collaborative community initiative including Tauranga Moana Nightshelter, Habitat for Humanity, Beca and BayTrust.
