  • He's nearly there!!

    We are nearly there with raising the money required with getting Jack to Disneyland and the States. So thank you, thank you, thank you for all those who have contributed to making this happen.

    We have one more hurdle in that we are unable to get Travel Insurance to cover Jack for if he gets sick and requires hospital treatment while in America. So we are still asking for help to make sure there is enough to cover treatment required in the event that should happen.

  • Monitoring head pressure

    Jacks last trip into hospital was to monitor the Intercranial Pressure in his head, causing him optic nerve and disc swelling in his eyes, and headaches. Jack is due to have neuro surgery where a shunt is put into his skull, run down his neck and into his stomach so that the extra fluid causing the pressure build up can be drained.

    The surgery is being postponed until after Jacks trip to America as the possible complications with a shunt will be to dangerous.

    After 2 years of monitoring, medication, swollen optic nerves and headaches the decision has been made for Jack to undergo neuro surgery to insert a shunt to release the extra fluid causing pressure around his brain in December just before Christmas.
