Good morning all. Well, as some of you know, WE HAVE HOT WATER!! (It's awesome!). Lots of people to thank. Firstly, all those kind and generous people, friends and family, who made donations to our Givealittle page. Your kindness has been very humbling and we promise to pay it forward whenever we can. To Barrie and Robbie of Waiheke Island, for their awesome donation of $200 via Ari Hinchco, huge thanks. To everyone who shared the link to our page and helped us raise money, (love you all) you are wonderful, and it's much appreciated. To the team at Mico Ashburton, along with Rheem NZ, who supplied the gas unit and regulators FREE of charge, we will sing your praises until the cows come home smile emoticon To Brendon & Steve of D&L Plumbing, who came and installed the whole shebang, and removed the offending hot water cylinder, you have made such a difference to our everyday life, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Big 'thumbs up' to Hoops on Hokonui, for giving us some airtime and helping us get the word out there. Accountability is high on our list of attributes, photos show where your money is going. We have not raised enough to have a new shower installed, and have decided that we have received such a massive blessing in what has already been done for us, that we will remove the givealittle page at the end of August and do the best we can to raise the rest of the money ourselves. Until then, if you can spare $5, it would help us massively toward our goal. Love to all, and wishing you all an awesome spring/summer, filled with love, laughter and happiness. Jen xoxox

      16 July 2015

Sending out massive thanks to Steve Davidson of D & L Plumbing, the team at Mico's Ashburton and Rheem, who have generously come together to give us continuous hot water again. Their kindness and community spirit is amazing!!! Though we have not raised enough for the bathroom to be finished, having a reliable hot water system will be heaven! My heartfelt thanks to those who have made donations to our Givealittle page, your gifts have been an absolute blessing and will be kept aside for a shower unit.

      30 June 2015

My absolute heartfelt thanks to D & L Plumbing of Ashburton who have offered to do all the gas installation and plumbing required for free. All we need now is the gas califont (approx. $1200). With the $400 already donated, we are 1/4 way there!!! Thank you so very much to all who have given up a coffee to donate. We are truly humbled by your generosity and kindness. xox

  • The Bathroom

As you will see from the photo's, the bathroom is in dire need of help. The seratone is rotten, as is the walls behind it. The hot water cylinder was made in 1950's. It's small and installed very low to the floor, meaning we have very little pressure. Our aim is to install gas hot water via a califont, which will enable the shower to use some of the space where the hot water cylinder was. Our house is tiny just 60m2, so we need all the space we can get. As you can see from the photos, the waste pipe is a piece of PVS, that exits the shower wall, out into the septic tank inlet. I block it off at night so the mice wont come in! I am somewhat embarrassed to upload pictures but it is only fair to see where the donated funds will be going.

  • Surgical Mesh

      24 June 2015

Thank you so much to the kind people who have donated today. This is a very humbling experience. As much as I set this page up to ask for help, it's also really important to me that you help spread the word that MESH IS DANGEROUS! If you know of anyone in your close circle, who is on a waiting list for pelvic floor repair surgery, for prolapse, light bladder leakage, hernia repair, or any other reason, please let them know about my story. I am one of millions of women worldwide who had mesh implanted with no prior knowledge of its risks, or what it actually IS! ASK YOUR SURGEON PRIOR TO SURGERY IF THEY ARE GOING TO, OR INTEND TO, USE MESH IMPLANTS!
