Please donate for beautiful Jessie, Mama fighting the big "C" with all her heart

My darling friend Jessie is being rushed in for a double mastectomy after aggressive cancer was detected in her boobs.

All of the women in Jessies whanau are at risk. there is a family history and that was known via genetic testing. But nothing can prepare a woman to have this bomb dropped so heavy and fast, and young. Jessie is in her mid 30's and has a beautiful little one-year-old daughter.

Lumps were found in her left breast, gathered together, and there are also two visibly affected lymph nodes, possibly more.

It is aggressive and she will have both breasts removed on 24 March 2016. Jessie had hoped to have reconstruction straight away, but due to the aggressiveness, it’s important to start chemo right away, this means reconstruction will be delayed for at least 12 months. She will need to travel extensively for this treatment.

These times ahead will be incredibly hard work and Jessie will need all we can give her - love, backing, company and laughs. Let us lend her strength. She has always as long as i've known her been an incredibly kind and generous friend to others, and the first to offer help wherever she was able.

Jessie has a great chance, with a 60-80% survival rate (this will be updated after surgery).

She is determined and whole-heartedly prepared to fight this, particularly to be there for her gorgeous Sailor Jean, to be with her as she grows up.
