Badly damaged in the quakes, this central city church needs a final $600,000 to complete the rebuild and re-open on 1 Feb 2015.
Canterbury
The Knox Presbyterian Church was badly damaged in the September 2010 earthquake and has undergone an extensive rebuild.
Today (Sunday 21 December 2014) we opened doors of the church to the community for a carol service just in time for Christmas, however we still face a challenging final shortfall $600,000 to complete the rebuild.
We are asking the wider community to please give a little to support the final stages of the Knox Church rebuild and join us in celebrating this amazing success in the story of Canterbury's recovery.
The Knox Presbyterian Church is leading the fundraising efforts to complete the rebuild by 1 Feb 2015.
We're an inclusive, theologically progressive, intellectually engaged, outward focussed Christian community on an important journey in central Christchurch.
