After a vicious dog attack, Zak needs all the support he can get.

Little Zak is an eighteen month old foxy/jack russel/chihuahua firecracker. He loves nothing more than spending hours playing fetch and going on walks around his neighbourhood.
On Monday (8/6/15) evening our little crazy Zak was out on a walk with his sister Ali and walker along their normal route. Unfortunately a very large and aggressive dog has jumped her properties gate, run across the road and viciously mauled Zak. This was an unprovoked attack which has left our wee mate with severe life threatening injuries which includes five broken ribs, one of which had to be partially removed due to the severity of crushing, torn muscles and major puncture wounds on his back and torso. He underwent a major surgery yesterday to repair as much damage as possible.
All donations will be going towards the cost of his surgeries and treatment which is currently totalled at $2773. He is now home with us on strict bed rest after a week stay at the bet. His recovery is going to be a long, slow and hard battle, but he is a little fighter and is going from strength to strength, no matter how small it may seem.
We also plan on raising awareness about known dangerous animals in the hopes we can prevent this from happening to another family.
Zak is our family dog, along with another mini foxy. My seven month old son is absolutely in love with him, almost more than the rest of the family.
Home time! 17 June 2015
Our little Zak is a little healing superstar! After spending the weekend with his friends at the vet it was decided that he was well enough to say good bye to them and come home with us. He is still sporting enough staples to put Officemax out of business, but these will be removed on Monday. He has been prescribed strict kennel rest for at least a month which he has not taken kindly to. He seems to think everything is as it should be, but he is still a very injured little pup. His adopted sister pup is taking some convincing that playtime has to wait too.
