We are really happy to report that her SIRT procedure went very well! The doctor is thrilled and confident he has reached every tumor. The result wont be really seen for a couple of months when they next do a scan. She's tired and in a little pain but home and recovering which is great. Mum's all booked and ready. Thanks to this fund flights and accommodation are booked and Dad will be well fed while mum's in hospital. Another bonus is that mum's fourth grandchild will be born on the 3rd March as well! Fingers crossed that it all goes well. Thanks again to you all.
We have a date and that is 3rd March. She will go into Wellington hospital on the 2nd March and be in Wellington for 4 days before returning home. Fingers crossed that it all goes well! Thanks everyone for your continued support. Love you all.
Wow - $1810! My mum is very grateful for the generosity everyone has shown. In a little over a week and a half she will have her specialist appointment which we will know what the date is for her SIRT procedure. It's been a little of a rollercoaster ride this last few weeks but we are getting there. With all of your help and best wishes we couldn't ask for more. Hi everyone,
Mum now has a specialist appointment with the person who will do the SIRT. This appointment is set for the 5th Feb 15. We are hoping that the procedure will commence in March. One of the tumor's is growing to a size where it may grow over a bile duct. If it does then the SIRT will not be an option and there will not be any other options left. Fingers crossed that all the tests needed for this appointment come back good. Thanks for taking the time to read this page and support our plight.
