The “Put your Eds together” campaign is asking Otago to give $5, to help us reach a goal of $50,000 for earthquake victims in Nepal.
Otago
On Monday 4 May, OUSA, Critic and Radio One are launching a fundraiser to raise money for the eight million people affected by the tragic earthquake in Nepal.
The “Put your Eds together” campaign is an appeal to all University of Otago staff and students, and the general public, to put their $5 notes towards our goal of $50,000.
We aim to raise at least $50,000 in the next 47 days — the same number of days it took Sir Edmund Hillary to climb the 8848 metres of Mount Everest.
On Friday 19 June 2015, we will send all donations to the New Zealand Red Cross, which has already started deploying teams to assist the rescue operation.
OUSA represents students at Otago. We would love to offer as much support as we can. Here in Dunedin, we are a lucky bunch compared to those currently suffering in Nepal. As the death toll approaches 5000, we hope staff, students and the general public will give $5 towards the campaign.
Doing everything, and providing the ultimate student experience.
