24 hours of pain paddling is nothing to what my daughter will endure
Auckland
At age 20 our daughter Mikassa was diagnosed with Kidney Disease. After 4 years of trying to fight the disease Kass has been faced with cutting her OE short, leaving her loved partner Dave in Europe and traveling back home to New Zealand to begin the race against time to find a suited kidney donor and get a kidney transplant.
Our family; myself Kraig, my wife Cindy and Mikassas brothers Grayson and Roman as well as her sister Sakima are holding an event to help fundraise to support Mikassa on her journey through fighting this disease to the best of our ability.
"Paddle for Kass" will take place on the 25th of April (Mikasses 25th birthday) at Takapuna Beach, Auckland. This event involves myself Kraig, paddling via waka ama for 24hrs straight with my wife Cindy as my support crew and our family and friends and general public by my side.
Stay tuned to this facebook page to see my training progress in the lead up to the big day, as well as updates of Kass's condition and luck with treatments/donors.
For any enquires regarding donations and sponsorship we would be grateful to hear from you, please feel free to private message.
Sincerely,
Kraig Cornwall & Family
