Paul is a guy who would give anything to help any one of us. Now he and his family need our help to get him back home and to health.

Our goal of 150K has been reached! We cannot express how grateful we are for your support. Thank you everyone!
As PJ's condition remains the same and cost to get him home still unknown, donations are still greatly appreciated.
Once again, thank you very much.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6 July, Paul was involved in a serious scooter accident in Phuket. He has been in a coma since.
His brother and father rushed over to be by his side and have ensured he has the appropriate treatment to get him through this critical period.
Unfortunately he is without travel insurance, but under the advice of First Assistance, the family was advised to move him into better care at Bumrungrad International in Bangkok.
Whilst still in a coma, he has showed encouraging signs like moving his limbs regularly and squeezed Marks finger on demand. We are certainly optimistic and these early signs of movement are certainly good.
Although his brother, Joe was able to front with some of the initial costs required, the cost of continued treatment is substantial.
On the advice received from First Assistance, the Lupi family are anticipating that the cost for PJ’s hospitalisation and ongoing treatment will be approximately $6000 a day.
To relieve some of the financial burden on the family, we are seeking out any donations to help Paul get back to health and bring him home (A flight back to NZ if he is stable was quoted to us for $80,000) as soon as possible.
To do this, we are aiming to raise $150,000.
If you know Paul (or PJ) you would know he would give anything to help out you out. Now its our time to help Paul.
Donations of all sizes would be greatly appreciated, $50, $100, $500, $1,000.

PJ is home!!! 28 July 2015
PJ has arrived home safely!
He is now in the care of Christchurch hospital and will be surrounded by family. There has been an outstanding effort from everyone to get to this point and also to get here without PJ bearing any large financial burden. Thank you.
The medical team in Christchurch will now completely re-assess Paul and then Paul Snr and Mark will decide the rehabilitation plan going forward.
Just to reiterate the visits are going to be kept strictly to family until Paul Snr and Mark decide he is well enough to see others. Once this happens we will give you all the information on how visits can be arranged.
Thank you all again for the love and support you have shown PJ and the Lupi Family.
