Auckland
Nadia, the young mother of two little kids aged 5 and 1, has the most aggressive HER2-positive form of breast cancer. The cancer has engaged her liver and she now in Stage 4 terminal cancer. Nadia is currently out of the country.
Doctors don’t offer surgery in NZ said as it’s non-curable and she would only have up to 5 years. But some experienced surgeons overseas are prepared to undertake this life saving surgery.
Nadia had to leave home, job and her daughter, son and husband, back in Auckland embarking on six rounds of chemo, remove both breasts and all of her left lymph nodes. Eventually, 15 rounds of radiotherapy and huge liver surgery to battle against this horrid disease. The next 8 months are going to be extremely challenging.
We need to give them time as a family to be together, to heal their hearts & souls and give Nadia the best possible chance to fight this, bring her back home with loved ones as children getting older and can’t navigate life without their māmā.
Farid, Nadia, Barad and Celena are the most beautiful family unit, and are going through the hardest time of their lives. Your donations, support and prayers are received with grace and appreciation beyond words. We are all beside Nadia’s family so they can fight this shocking disease and bring Nadia home safe and well.
The donations will be used to help alleviate the burden of treatment and medical costs in Iran which is not funded and to allow them to pay their expenses back home in NZ. Funds will be released to her husband Farid. Farid is in NZ and is travelling to Iran every 2-3 months (funds will also be used for travel costs for the family to visit her).
“Thank you” message from family 10 September 2023
The family is so grateful and overwhelmed by your generosity in this life-changing event. Nadia, while still in chemotherapy, has been able to kill most cancer cells, she is stable and cancer in her body is continuing to shrink, but the trauma will last many years.
The children will take her mummy back home in Oct to carry on the treatment in Auckland. So much still to be done, and Nadia attends to several specialists multiple times to find the best and latest treatments.
Thank you yet again for the continuing support, prayers, positive thoughts, friendship, messages, the fundraising efforts, sharing of the Givealittle page and the donations.
On behalf of Nadia and Farid, I would like to say thank you to each one of you.
