24 hours of non-stop drumming for the people of Tonga. #Taiko4Tonga

Dunedin, Otago

The eruption of Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai earlier this year has affected Tongans around the world. Homes have been destroyed, villages have been displaced, islands have been abandoned.

O-Taiko, Dunedin's Japanese-inspired Drumming Ensemble, is fundraising as a way to give back to the Tongan community and support them in whatever way we can, including providing non-perishable goods, clean water, building equipment, agricultural equipment, and other necessities to rebuild their communities.

From 6pm on the 29th July to 6pm on the 30th July, O-Taiko will be playing for 24 hours straight at Burns Hall, First Church! If you're in Dunedin, come along and support us throughout the day! 😊🥁

Supported by the School of Performing Arts / Te Kāhui Tau, University of Otago

More information will be posted to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/OTaikoDunedin and on our Instagram: otaikodunedin as we get closer to the Drumathon 😁 #taiko4tonga
