We are starting this foundation in Rosy's name to raise money to provide respite care for people suffering with depression
Waikato
Life is Rosy.
We are starting this fundraising in our beloved daughter, sister and wonderful friends name to raise money to provide quality respite care for quality people with depression.
Rosy committed suicide in August 2017 and we are painfully aware of the lack in mental health services in NZ
Our vision is to start small and go big with this. We want to organise funded holistic respite care for people suffering from Functional Depression. We are still in formative stages, but have many quality people willing to give time, experience and resources to our charity
Rosy was one of my best friends, it has been a harsh 4 year battle with mental health and I am passionate about making a change. During this battle I struggled to know how to support her, and feel as though if there had been a type of respite care it would've made things a lot easier. Along with an amazing group of people, we want to be there to support others that are going through something similar and make the change in the stigma and cycle of depression in NZ
We will be using the funds to set up a respite care like house, our aim is to start small and go big.
