Gumboot Friday provides free counselling and support for young people struggling with their mental health.

Christchurch, Canterbury

Gumboot-A-Thon has been created by a group of inspiring students at Christchurch Girls High. They have got 9 other schools in the area on board Hagley, Marian College, Christ College, Burnside, Riccarton, Hornby, Rangi Ruru, Hill Morton, St Margarets who will all be participating in a 10km walk around Hagley Park in their Gumboots. They see firsthand the need for the free counselling and support that Gumboot Friday provides and have decided to join together and raise much needed funds to ensure the counselling remains available.

The walk will be taking place at Hagley Park on Sunday 11th June at 10am
