Leprosy Mission Youth Advocates: Essential 4WD truck for Anandaban Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal ($15,200 raised off-line)
International
Reaching the most vulnerable communities in outlying areas of Kathmandu and rural Nepal requires reliable vehicles robust enough to deal with narrow unsurfaced roads. The deep potholes, landslides, erosion and loose gravel make for a slow bumpy ride. The new 4-wheel drive will enable hospital staff, medical supplies & equipment to be transported between the hospital and their outreach community projects.
This year a group of NZ student Youth Advocates witnessed the need for reliable transport for the Leprosy Mission hospital in Nepal. Their mission - to raise $27,500 for a 4-wheel drive car to provide reliable hospital transport.
Anandaban Hospital is the only hospital in this area of Kathmandu and manages services for leprosy patients and general patients from the local community. Reaching people who need support in rural areas is now more difficult post-earthquake and a reliable vehicle is required to continue medical, social and economic assistance for some of Nepal’s most vulnerable people. Please donate today.
