Raising funds for Noah to receive a special needs dog to live a safer, more fulfilled life in Aotearoa... From Assistance Dogs New Zealand.
Auckland
Thank you for visiting our fund raising page.
This is our little man Noah. He is 6 years old. At the age of 2½ we received a multiple diagnoses of Severe Autism Spectrum Disorder and Global Development Delay.
Most of the time Noah is in a world of his own. Unfortunately he has no sense of danger (cars, people, water) and we know that an assistance dog from Assistance Dogs New Zealand will go a long way to help us on this journey.
Noah has 2 loving parents and a little sister Samantha. Samantha is also autistic and has a global development delay, but not to the extent of her big brother. Noah attends Anchorage Park school in the special needs unit. He loves swimming lessons, the beach, and running…. Everywhere. He has an amazing smile and lights up everyone around him with his autistic quirks and laugh. We have an amazing supportive family and team of friends that are always there to help.
For Noah we know an Assistance Dog can improve his socialisation and behaviour, give him the freedom to be safe out in public, on and near roads, supermarkets, restaurants (although we haven’t attempted that yet!), public transport.
We just hope we can raise enough money to get an Assistance Dog to change his life…. Please help.
