I was introduced to Orphans Aid International by Gabby James, herself a Romanian, were such neglect of children occurred. Babies in cots with little or no human touch. It’s hard to believe when we live in a country where most of our children have so much. Sure there is child abuse in New Zealand but not on such a scale as these children from Romania, Russia, India and Uganda, each with their own story, their own story of deprivation and neglect. We who have so much can make a difference. So little a contribution goes along way in these countries. We can make a difference. We can show people from the other side of the world, care.
