Well, the beard has finally gone! I completed my yeard, and now I’m getting used to being clean shaven again. And believe me, it’s taking some getting used to! Thank you for your amazing support!

Well, this time next week my beard will be no more. I shall be a fresh faced weirdo without a beard instead of with! As I type this, I'm sitting at $2,190 - an amount that has exceeded my wildest expectations.
Jodi and I haven't been sure just how to bring this while thing to an appropriate conclusion. With or without a bit of pomp and ceremony? Frankly we are not really ones for too much fanfare, but marking a yeard does deserve a knees-up of some description.

We realise that there have been many donations from people outside of Palmerston North so we will post a video and photos of my de-bearding (no, that's not an actual word) shortly after the fact.
The generosity of friends, colleagues and strangers is a wonderful thing and continues to blow my mind!.
My effort to raise $500 currently sits at just over $1,200 and there's still well over a month to go before the big shave. I visited my barber this morning (Bladez on Princess Street) for a quick haircut before my sister's wedding this weekend. They were all excited to hear of the progress of this fundraiser, and remain complimentary about the beard.
I've had a few cheeky requests for some new photos (of the beard of course) so with the help of Oscar who is off school sick today, I managed to grab a mildly respectable photo. Yet another reminder of how I prefer to be behind the lens and not in front of it!
Please continue to share my Give a Little page with your friends and family. Every dollar counts. It just might be possible to crack the $1,500 mark before November.
