I’m attempting a month long unsupported solo tramp down the South Island leg of the Te Araroa trail, covering roughly 1200km.

Nationwide

Beginning on the 1st of March, I’m attempting a month long unsupported solo tramp down the South Island leg of the Te Araroa trail, covering roughly 1200km if I can make it all the way to Bluff.

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Their mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherds dedicated volunteers use innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations. Because if the Oceans die, we die.

Andrew Glennie's involvement (page creator)

I’m an avid runner and tramper and to complete the Te Araroa trail has been something on my mind for a long time. So by attempting the most epic tramp of my life hopefully I can create a bit of awareness for Sea Shepherd along the way and raise a few donations to help them carry on the great work they are doing.
