Climbing as high as Mt Everest is the logical solution to my need to get fit & healthy, and help out friends families in Vanuatu in need of support.

Any amount in sponsorship encouragement is welcome.

Mount Everest's peak is 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level. My office is at sea level. The "Stairs of Doom" are a continuous climb to 125m elevation.

I will climb as high as the mountain, by climbing 125m worth of the stairs of doom up to Kelburn in Wellington departing 12pm each day.

I will climb 70 x 125m chunks from my office to the Carter Observatory and back down again within 90 days. I will prepare a chart and regular status updates.

Mount Everest, also known in Nepal as Sagarmāthā and in Tibet as Chomolungma, is Earth's highest mountain. It is located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas. Its peak is 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level.

I seldom walk anywhere. If I complete 70 climbs of the track, this is equivalent elevation climbed as Mt Everest.
