This is a group of medics and pilots who crew the Otago Southland Rescue Helicopter. We see every day the vital work that this service provides, this ride will be a real challenge for us, so we appreciate all the dollars and support that you can give for the Rescue Helicopter through this appeal.
This year we have Dan, Olivia, Brendan and Buck from the Queenstown Base as well as Courtney, Alex and Sean from the Dunedin base participating.

231ks ridden, Charity Chopper Ride completed 11 May 2024
Yesterday the whole team successfully completed the Charity Chopper Ride of 231ks. We left Queenstown in a chilly -3, had some rain over the Jollies (where Courtney got the QOM, go team) and a bit of wind in northern Southland. A highly rewarding day, talked to a lot of good folks on the day, heard some personal stories on why the Rescue Helicopter service is so vital. Definitely no easy day out though.
