Men conned out of their wages , reaching out to help with their living costs
Auckland
This Story will be televised on News Hub 13th of February. I am raising money to help 13 men with 2 months living costs , there are more men to this story, but only 13 that I know personally. In November 2018 a building subdivision opened, These men , with the promise of reasonable PAY started work. Weeks in to this job , the men started talking amongst themselves, and came to the conclusion some had been paid and others had not. Numerous meetings with the boss and many weeks of empty promises had passed. The men put all tools down and walked off site scratching there heads. Some were owed $6000 others $3000. Over this time (Christmas, New Years) the amount of stress (mental and financial) has been traumatic, to say the least. Living in Auckland, with all the cost to keep a family going and pay rent , power , food is a hard task when the promise of pay day never comes. Yes they are all looking for work NOW. But have the stress of major debt hanging over their heads . The issue has been taken up by reporters to stop this Recruiting Con man. Although getting this story out is good , so others do not fall victim. It does not pay the bills or fix broken relationships due to this problem. I have never done this kind of thing before , but my heart breaks for some of these mens story's over the last few months. I wanted to do what I could to help.
I am the wife of one of these hard working New Zealand men, who worked weeks on the promise of pay day
All money will be divided equally between the 13 men. For rent mortgage food power ect. To help get them up to date with living cost. To cut some stress out of their minds , after a traumatic few month's.
