1953 Tangiwai historic memorial upgrade

I am interested to know why the memorial sight needs upgrading when it was only 6 or 7 years ago the the memorial was enlarged and names were added.
Please reply with cost of replacing two of the panels with names so that the family of Nicholls would be listed together. This was quite distressing to us as cousins to find 2 names quite so separate.

Good afternoon Beth, replacement of the panel could be a costly job to to as these are in order and would mean we may have to replace all 4, if we get the funding we require in the future the bottom part of the Monument will be replace and then those changes could happen.
