  • BUILDING HAS STARTED

      12 May 2015

We have officially started the building process here in Sapa Vietnam. Have built a retaining wall with rocks and concrete to build the site up to the street level.

We are filling it up now we need 100 cubic meters of earth. Building supplies here just arent very cheap with some products costing the same amount as New Zealand even!

The building is going to cost more than the amount we have raised so far about $2000NZD

Any more donations would be so appreciated.

Dear Friends, We appologise for not being able to provide donee status. The rule is that if over 80% of donations are going overseas, then donee status is unavailable. We hope you understand. Kind Regards 1by1

  • Fundrasing target for Lehn's Family Home

      29 January 2014

Dear 1by1 supporters, we really appreciate all your help so far. We are just informing you about the change in the target amount due to further analysis for the future aim of 1by1. After further research and communication with some of the people in Sapa, we have concluded that it would be most beneficial to be project specific with our fundraisers. Our initial amount of $50,000 NZD was to set up 1by1 for all it's future projects, including Lehn's home. Together we have decided to separate the costs on a project by project bases to make it more specific for our supporters to know exactly how much each project will cost, and how it will benefit the people in Sapa. Our first project will be to build Lehn and her family a safe and functioning home. This is estimated to cost around $15,000 NZD. This is what our new precise target is for Lehn's home. If you would like more information in regards to Lehn's house please feel free to contact us anytime. Yours sincerely, Wayan and Stephan
