Slate 48 - Catering the 48 hour film festival

  • Here's Our 48 Hour Film! -Thank You

      14 December 2016

Thanks so much for your help in getting our film made for the 48 hour film festival!

Our film "Cabin in the Wool" was a finalist in the Waikato Region, and was nominated for 5 awards, winning best makeup.

It was also included in the National Grand Final for Best Makeup, but we missed out there.

The crew are proud of what we managed to do in 48 hours, and I hope you enjoy the film.

Thanks to you and your support our cast and crew were fed and had no excuses not to give an amazing performance. -

    Which they did!

We can't share the video yet, but as soon as it is uploaded to the 48hour channel and released to the public I will make sure that you get a link to check it out.

For now here is an image from behind the scenes...

Everyone involved had an absolute ball and I can definitely see some amazing collaborations coming out of this in the future so keep your eye out for future updates!

    Thanks Again!

    Hi Folks,

Well this weekend is the big one, 48 hours is upon us. Thanks to all of you who have supported us, the team all appreciates it very much. (and will particularly appreciate it when they are being fed!)

To thank you I have included a few images from the practice run we did a couple of weeks back in our gallery on the givealittle page. We tried to do it as close to the 48 hour rules as possible. Really a practice so that those in the team new to 48 hours and new to each other get the feel of working as a team with tight timelines.

The film we made is titled Goodbye Weekend, and is a short post apocalyptic film with a twist.

There is still some time to get some more funds in so please share with your friends.

    Thanks again,

Chris - On behalf of Slate 48
