Caleb (14) & Abraham (6) have been selected to represent NZ at the World Speed Stacking Champs in Germany in April 2016
Bay of Plenty
In April 2016 the World Speed Stacking Championships will be held in Speichersdorf in Germany.
Speed stacking is not a very well known sport but it is amazing to watch and requires incredible hand eye co-ordination, and hours of practice every day to get to this level.
Two talented young brothers from Galatea in the Rotorua area, Caleb (14) and Abraham (6) have been selected in the NZ Black Stacks team to compete at the 2016 world speed stacking champs. Their Mother Jenny will also attend to support them in their efforts and to be one of the parent assistants for the team.
Caleb was also in the 2015 NZ Black Stacks team that competed at the World speed stacking championships in Montreal, Canada.
To qualify for the NZ Black Stacks team for the 2016 world championships, they had to compete at the NZ Speed Stacking Championships held in Wellington on 20th June 2015.
Caleb's results from the NZ national champs are as follows:
In the 14U (14 and under) he came 3rd for 3-6-3, 2nd for 3-3-3, 2nd for cycle, 2nd in the 3-6-3 relay, and 2nd in his division for doubles.
Abraham's results in the 6U (6 years an under) were:
He set a potential divisional NZ record for the 6U in the 3-3-3. He came 1st in the 3-6-3 and 1st in the cycle with a potential divisional NZ record. He came 1st in doubles, setting another potential record. His relay team came first in the 10U (10 years and under) division.
The funds raised will go towards the cost of return flights for 3 from NZ to Germany and accommodation in Germany.
We are close friends of the Mills Family who are a fellow home schooling and Christian family and we would love for Caleb, Abraham and their mother Jenny to have this opportunity to attend the world speed stacking champs in Germany in April 2016.
But it is a very expensive exercise, so please help by making a donation!
