Taniwha Sports Club is a Cricket Club based in Porirua who has a vision: To cultivate an environment that enables people to be their best, on and off the park.

In that spirit, an annual event is organised to bring the community together, complete an exhausting challenge all with the aim of raising funds for local tamariki.

This year, the club have chosen Family Works as the benifitting charity due an alignment in values. Family Work's vision is for Aotearoa New Zealand to be the best place in the world to grow up – a place where all tamariki are safe, families and whānau are strong and communities are connected.

Family Works believe every person deserves respect, compassion and dignity regardless of age, background or belief. We work with children and families who have experienced trauma, family violence, separation, poverty and anxiety, to have a safer and brighter future
