Can't quite believe the response from you all. I don't have words to describe how much of an impact you are having on my life and cancer diagnosis. <3 Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hi George, what a beautiful place! Glad to see you are still barefoot and enjoying the beauties of nature.

In your first video, you asked for tips and advice on video making. You don’t need it! These are perfect. Well put together, and the best bit about them is you! Your sincerity comes over in bucketfuls. It’s good to see you and hear your voice. You are a real inspiration and your positive attitude is brilliant.

I’m a big believer in the power of positive thought and you have that in abundance. We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to it.

From so far away, I can’t be much practical help but please know that I am cheering you on! Let’s kick this big C into touch. It’s not big C it’s puny little c because you are fighting it and you have a big army of supporters cheering you on. Go, go George!

  • Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself

    Hello awesome person.

So, this is me! George. With my incredibly supportive, beautiful partner Anneliese.

Life has taken a bit of a turn of late, but I am trying to make the most of this bizarre situation. One of the first things I did was turn to get mental help. After all, if my heads not in the game, how am I ever going to win!?

I started working with an amazing man called Jamie Milne, a professional at building positive mental attitudes. Ex-forces, multiple world records in endurance etc etc.

His first task for me? Go away, and write 100 benefits, positives, or opportunities for having brain cancer. I just about wanted to slap him! But, after 2hrs with pen in hand, I managed it. And let me tell you, by the time I was at 80, I could have kept going till 1000! Maybe one day I will share my 100?

The biggest turning point for me was when he asked me to write down any ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts) I had, and then, write the silver lining next to it. He asked me "lets do an example, what's your biggest negative thought at the moment?"

I answered ,"What if I die?"

Jamie looked at me deeply through the computer screen camera and said...

"But George, my friend... What if you live??"

It hit me like a tonne of bricks. Its time to bring the fight. Its time to be my own hero. <3
