4 year old girl asked to leave daycare until funding is found. A new daycare has been found.

Our 4 year old granddaughter Kapohanga a rangi comes with a past. Her Mother is in prison and our granddaughter is left with no mother, but a loving whanau of grandparents and aunties that love and care for her dearly, but sadly the nightmare for her has just begun.

From the beginning of her little life she has fought the struggle to survive her mothers illness. Sadly that has impacted into her genetic makeup and at only 4 years old others look at her as a "monster" or I dare say "she scares the kids and teachers". Immediately I sense a lack of compassion and empathy, but a society that allows gossip and conversation to contaminate their thoughts of a child's innocence. We feel shes been discriminated because of this, although she does have behavioral issues. The way it all happened has left us in a "to hard basket" and our granddaughter confused and rejected. MOE and mental health are on board and have been trying to help with funding but because shes not at school yet. She has now been given 5 hours from MOE starting term 1 and continuing to term 2. Money raised will help to get one on one when and as necessary. Because of her issues this can happen because of the funds raised. She deserves the best and with your help we will be able to give her the care she needs.
