Layla is a happy young girl who has just turned 4 and
was diagnosed recently with stage 4 Cancer (Neuroblastoma).
Layla has undergone surgery to remove the tumour but unfortunately the Cancer has spread and she has been undergoing Chemotherapy in Christchurch, with all of us, her loving Invercargill family alongside her.
Dr's have said that Layla will be in Christchurch until at LEAST March 2016.
We have been living in between the Christchurch Hospital and the Ronald McDonald house.
We all have a long journey ahead of us and helping ease any financial stress and burden will help us keep our energy and focus on helping Layla kick Cancers butt.
As you can imagine this is a very difficult time for all of us so as the saying goes, a little goes a long way.
We would like to thank everyone in advance for all your support.
"And though she be but little, she is fierce - William Shakespeare"
All funds raised will go towards travel expenses, relocation from Invercargill to Christchurch, accomodation and general living costs incurred when fighting such a tough challenge.
Fly High Angel 29 September 2015
Our darling wee princess Layla has had the hardest past 6months any 4yr old - and their parents - can only imagine.
We have unfortunately had to let her go on Monday 21st September at 6:15pm and her dream of becoming an Angel finally came true.
As only one who has been through this knows, that this was the hardest and saddest decision we've ever had to overcome!!! We never thought we would have to do this in a life time, and any parent should never have to go through this it's a parents worst nightmare.
She never gave up fight for her whole journey.
She has touched so many people's hearts and we are so grateful for everything and everyone's kind messages and support.
We had a beautiful send off for Layla but now unfortunately we have the burden of paying for her beautiful send off we gave her on Saturday 26th September and would appreciate any help we can get!!
A huge thank you to everyone who has helped us via texts, messages, phone calls, donations, fundraising etc throughout Laylas journey it hasn't gone unnoticed xox
