5 boys and a passion for motocross

Hi. I'm Shannon mum to 6 awesome kids.

Our eldest sons interest in motorbikes started when he was only 1. It was many years before he received his first motorbike. Now aged 15 he has been riding for approx 4 years. His 4 siblings eventually joined him and all race motocross.

To afford to get the boys first 5 bikes I sold my pride and joy, a caravan we renovated and have also added to our mortgage. My mechanically minded husband has always worked on the bikes himself helping to keep our costs down.

We knew they would eventually outgrow their bikes and after they have completed the 20/21 season in May they need to move up to bigger bikes.

If we cannot find the money to upgrade and replace the bikes we have to give up the sport, which as a parent is a very hard decision to make knowing how much they love to race motocross.

My hope is to be able to raise enough money to help us purchase 2 good condition second hand bikes so that the kids can continue riding. (Selling the bikes they are using now to purchase the other 2 that we will need).

They are really good riders, I'm so proud of them. They never complain when their boots are too small or say they are embarrased turning up at the track with our old car transporter to get the bikes there.

Their bikes are far from new and last season we managed 3 kids on the winners podium!

The best part is driving home hearing gratitude and thanks coming from the back of the van.
