66km for my dad — raising funds to support him while he undergoes cancer treatment.
Auckland
While my dad faces the biggest challenge of his life, I’m taking on one of my own to help support him. Dad has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and will require extensive treatment and care. During this time he’s unable to work which has placed financial pressure on him.
On 29 March, I’ll be running 66km — one kilometre for every year of my dad’s life — to raise funds that will go directly toward his treatment, medications and basic living costs.
Throughout my life my dad has been my constant. He stood by me through some of my hardest years, never giving up on me. His belief, patience, and quiet strength helped shape the person I am today.
Now it’s my turn to show up.
If you’re able to donate, share, or send encouragement, it would mean the world to us. This run is for my dad — and for every family walking alongside someone they love through cancer.
I’m fundraising for my dad — my biggest supporter and the person who has always stood by me.
Funds will help cover my dad’s basic living costs while he’s unable to work during treatment — including rent, utilities, groceries, transport, partially funded treatment, doctors/specialists appointments, and medications.
