Hi team… and I mean Team! It takes a whole lot of people to make great things happen, and as a team we all contributed to make this record happen. It’s been a bit of a journey, and just a couple of small hurdles to jump to get it finalised. I have to say the Guinness team have been exceptional. Some of the guidelines were very challenging just by the our nature of the record attempt. Les competed again in April in a hill climb event. So with the Pukekohe event (RIP) and the April ride it just demonstrates that he is not giving up yet! He turned 98 at the end of February and he is already adjusting his circuit bike and getting it ready for the next classic event in February at Manfield. He will enter any hill climb events on the green bike between now and then. Anyway, rest assured your help has gone a long way and the purpose is nearly achieved! I’ll let you know soon, when it’s all confirmed officially! Thanks! Ps. Picture is of Les taking a corner in February at the 43rd Classic and final festival to be held at Pukekohe.

Hi all, the classic bike festival went very well and Les got out on track a few times. He rode with his son and granddaughter! Before the weather closed in the full regularity ride was completed and from a field of 27, Les came in 4th. So we are now in the process of gathering all the evidence of the competition and riding. We will submit to Guiness and await the final sign off! Thank you all so much for your support. You can contact me on Facebook anytime and I am happy to share photos of the weekend. Hi team, we will seek to have the results of the record attempt back to us under urgency, but this requires further payments to the recorders.
