Running 161km (10000 metres of ascent) and raising money for Victory Boxing who play an essential role supporting the Nelson community.
Nelson / Tasman
At 6am on the 20th March 2021 I will start my run of 161km, with 10000 metres of ascent, on the stunning Northburn Station in Otago.
I am raising money for Victory Boxing who play an essential role within our Nelson community. Their tireless work has an incredible impact on the young kids of our community, teaching them life skills, honesty, respect, determination and to be caring.
Before October 2020, when I completed the Taupo 100km, my longest race was a 10km fun run. I signed up to the Northburn 100 mile ultra because I wanted to learn about and be proud of my response to challenges. Running allows me the headspace to get sharp on my priorities, be clear on my why and demonstrate to myself that with the right mental approach and support network anything is possible. I am no runner and completing this race will be challenging for me. These challenging moments are defining and once conquered provide a framework and confidence which is transferable to everyday life.
I hope you can back me on my personal journey and support Victory Boxing with their incredible work, thank you.
I have an incredible amount of respect for Victory Boxing and want to raise money to support their work.
The money will go Victory Boxing to continue their incredible work in the Nelson community, with a focus on mental health.
