A Celebration of Life-Nathan Kraatskow

A life to Celebrate!

On Friday the 18th May 2018, Nathan Kraatskow was tragically taken from his family and friends in a horrific accident in Albany, on the North Shore (Auckland) at 15 years old.

As his parents, siblings, grandparents and extended family are still in disbelief and immense pain by the loss of their eldest child Nathan, many people close by would like to show their support, love and kindness towards Charlene, Orion and Nathan’s siblings. They have a long road ahead of acceptance that Nathan will not be returning home to them.

When we think of family we imagine and wish for so many qualities in our own. Nathan is blessed to be part of one of the nicest, loving, supportive and caring families that model what family really means. As time goes on, the pain will not go, the memories will not fade but the love will always keep growing. The gift of life is so precious. Nathan’s short life was filled with so many special moments, experiences and shared with many. He is a beautiful son who was given to the family to serve and spread his happy spirit to everyone who he touched in some way. His radiance and zest of life was always strong; however it was also just beginning…

Nathan and his family have inspired so many lives through various sports, education and community clubs/groups. This is an opportunity for us all to be able to show them the ‘gift of love’ by donating to the family to help them grieve together without the financial strains over the next few months as they work towards peace in knowing that Nathan is singing with the Angels and shining like a bright star over them.

Thank you for all the messages and kindness displayed over the recent days as the family are very humbled in knowing how special Nathan is to so many and his cheeky smile that lit a room.
