A change of guard.

  • Meeting tomorrow night

      17 June 2020

    Kia ora mai taatou.

Firstly, thank you everybody for your support. We have no measure by which to express our gratitude to you ( many of who are strangers to us). Thank you for your kindness.

We have called a meeting for 6pm Thursday 18 June at the Hawea Flat Hall to update our community on where we are at and to rally a committee together. We take the position that we won't let covid 19 and it's political and social effects affect us, we will push through. Our hope is to secure a loan with the bank and secure our property and then work to apply for as many projects as our committee are able to. The house has been rented for the present in order to show some earnings to the bank and to keep a representative of the river keeper on sight. We're getting excited now, only $150000 more to raise!!! Keep wishing us luck! Thank you

  • Extension given for settlement

      24 May 2020

Tēnā rā tātou. Thank you all so much to those who have given to our cause. Although we have only a small part of what we need we appreciate your belief in us.

To date we have managed to get a deferred settlement date of July 3 2020. We will run this give a little until then. Should we not raise enough money we will (as per plan) take a loan out with the bank. Trustees are required to guarantee this loan and also pay the deposit. We ask you to consider that we do this with an aspiration that what we are doing will be of value to everybody and we do this for you and your children as much as we do it for our own. We ask you to carry on supporting us and we thank you.
